Reflecting upon this year, I am overwhelmed with a sense of pride for our team at Howard Elliott. We began the year with the challenges of a major flood which destroyed our home office, disrupted our warehouse operation, and required our staff to work remotely. Despite less-than-ideal conditions and extended COVID 19 interruptions, our team banded together to get the job done and ensure that the impact on our customers was minimal. Several teammates stepped up without hesitation into new leadership roles, ultimately leading to promotions during the year. Our team is small, but mighty and continues to impress me on a daily basis.
This year, like our peers we have been working through supply chain and inventory challenges only to find that economic conditions changed abruptly mid-year and brought a new set of complexities. Despite it all, we continue to flourish and develop new business opportunities. Looking ahead into 2023 we are optimistic about the future growth opportunities.
