BUSINESS OUTLOOK: 2020 by Home Accents Today

OUTLOOK: Well, 2019 has been filled with a great deal of “wasted energy” focused upon geopolitical issues that were well beyond our control here at Howard Elliott — whether it was tweets that had huge impacts upon swings of the stock market and interest rates, or tariffs imposed on various product categories at various rates produced in various countries.

It was also a year of redefining our mission at Howard Elliott. We rededicated ourselves to creating committed partnerships and customizing programs with many of our partners. We plan to continue on this journey and demonstrate to prospective partners how we differentiate Howard Elliott from our competition.
Our outlook for 2020 is one of cautious optimism. World events both politically and economically presented a few obstacles in 2019. … The trends show that unemployment is still at record lows and people are purchasing homes, refinancing homes and renting homes/apartments. All of these spaces require the varied and innovative home décor products that our industry provides.

POTENTIAL CHALLENGES: We are faced with the challenge of putting forth our sincere message above to the industry. The vast number of emails, social media posts, phone calls and text messages creates a huge challenge to be heard clearly and concisely.

We can meet the challenge by continuing to work to show how innovative we can be — not only by creating amazing home décor products, but in working diligently to put out messaging that is as on-point as our unique product launches.
