This coming September, 40 well-known interior designers & landscapers will transform the T. Fisher Mansion, one of the largest mansions in the Historic Boston-Edison District of Detroit back into its former glory, with a contemporary flair of course! Several designers have chosen to work with Howard Elliott to help them accomplish this inspirational task. One design team iof note is Carter and Sienna Oosterhouse!
You may have seen Carter on many popular television series including Trading Spaces, Celebrity Motor Homes and The Great Christmas Light Fight. He is also a "go to" expert for many national outlets including the former The Oprah Winfrey Show, Rachel Ray, The LA Times to name a few! His sister, Sienna, is also a renowned LA based interior designer with famous clients like Tom Ford that take her all over the US.
Together, they are bringing new life to the Pub and Wine Cellar in the T. Fisher Mansion. Having roots in both Michigan and California, they are bringing a modern flair and combining it with a quaint, charming twist.

From our collection, they have selected our Riley Mirror, Dancing Lady Statue and Rustic Feather Box to provide the perfect finishing touches to their vision.

All proceeds from the showhouse support various community programs and grants, including recent initiatives such as EAT (Education, Access and Tools) which equips kitchens to be fully functional so families can cook and eat together at home; and projects in connection with other social service organizations such as Forgotten Harvest, Cass Community Services and the Empowerment Plan.Since the JLD’s Designers’ Show House inception in 1976, the organization has raised over 4.5 million for community programs in Detroit.
Carter Oosterhouse
CARTER OOSTERHOUSE is one of America’s most recognized lifestyle experts. Having carried many popular television series ranging from Trading Spaces and Red and Hot & Green to Million Dollar Rooms and Celebrity Motor Homes. Most recently Carter has been co-hosting ABC’s hit primetime series special The Great Christmas Light Fight, now going into its sixth season.
In addition to practical advice, Carter provides green-building solutions and design alternatives. that conserve energy and reduce environmental waste to each renovation project. Sienna Oosterhouse
SIENNA OOSTERHOUSE is a Los Angeles based interior designer whose effortless, eclectic and modern style resonate throughout her designs.
Oosterhouse a Michigan born - now California local, finds much inspiration in her family and own backyard. The desert and beach landscapes have greatly influenced the palate and esthetic of her projects along with a homes architecture.
She apprenticed with Brad Dunning where she honed her technical skills. She now works with Tom Ford as well as many other notable clients that take her all over the US.
