WE ASKED WHAT PRODUCT CATEGORIES PRESENT THE GREATEST OPPORTUNITIES FOR SHORT AND LONG-TERM GROWTH HEADING INTO SUMMER MARKETS? WHY?
Colleen Daly, Vice President, Howard Elliott
“We believe will continue to see growth in decorative accents as well as smaller scale mirrors and accent furniture that can easily be drop-shipped via small parcel carriers. While retailers are continuing to open their stores to their customers, many people are still not ready to shop in person yet. As consumers are spending more time in their homes, many look for easy ways to update their décor.
“We are seeing a shift to e-commerce and curbside pickup for many of our customers and the smaller items make it easy for their customers to pick up or have shipped to their homes. For stores, these categories take up a smaller footprint in their store and are easy fill in items to purchase. In anticipation of this growth, we have increased our inventory levels for these categories in order to position ourselves to assist our customers more quickly.”
